Our funded courses provide free access to nature-based interventions, creating a much needed space for those with health and wellbeing challenges to receive support. Our sessions are tailored for people who may be experiencing isolation, at risk of mental health problems, in recovery from a major life change or illness, or those in need of a break to avoid overwhelm.
There is a wealth of well-researched studies, articles and projects highlighting the vital importance of reconnecting to the natural world and how this can positively impact mental health, aid stress reduction and reduce the need for chemical pain relief post surgery. Our courses offer opportunities to access these health benefits within calming and rejuvenating spaces in the living world.
EcoWild courses can be booked directly through our booking system or via referrals from local health services as part of green social prescription programmes.

Nature, Craft, Connection
Funded by and part of the Somer Valley Rediscovered Project, these sessions involve mindful, active and creative activities to help participants engage with nature, support their wellbeing, learn more about plants and animals, and get to know their local landscape. Open to anyone in the Somer Valley and surrounding area.

Lakeside Wellbeing
Set by the beautiful Chew Valley Lake, these sessions aim to support physical and mental health through nourishing wellbeing practices. Mornings focus on mindfulness, nature immersion, stretching and movement to balance the body and mind. Afternoons incorporate gentle walks (depending on group mobility) and creativity using natural materials.

Woodland Connect
Woodland Connect happens every spring and autumn, crossing the seasons when the earth is delighting us most with its transformation. These longer sessions offer simple and accessible ways to relax, feel restored and revitalised in nature, whilst also giving the space and time for participants to enter a more expansive state, to experiencing the benefits both during and after the course.

Men’s Woodland Project Group
These half day sessions in the woods offer the chance to get away from the pressures of everyday life and engage with the benefits of spending time outdoors in nature and in company. We will make the fire, go walking (for those who want to) and work on small projects around the roundhouse whilst noticing the seasons, wildlife and landscape around us.
