Lakeside Wild Art

Using just natural materials in the environment around us we will be trying out some wonderful natural art.
Losing ourselves in an absorbing artistic practice is always relaxing, and being in this beautiful landscape with other people, making a cuppa in the yurt or on the fire, and going home with a photo of our ephemeral art you will feel a sense of peace and the restorative benefits of the natural world. Ephemeral means temporary – after we leave it will change it along with the living world around it. This is practice of buddhist monks, it helps us be mindfully present in what we’re doing, without attachment to what happens next. Its a useful mental tool for life too.

Learn to manage the heat of the fire to cook a variety of delicious meals and snacks.

Discussion, mindfulness, reflections in pairs, looking at nearby nature and also a virtual walk through Greyfield Woods. Keep connected, grounded and nourished by the living world through the lockdown.

TBC Woodland Foraging Walks.
We will mostly be collecting sweet chestnuts and blackberries, but may find other treats such as mushrooms and cob nuts. We will stop to boil the kelly kettle, chat and enjoy the autumnal views. If wet we may erect a shelter for our break.
